The Compass EMP Alternative Strategies Fund is commonly used as a comprehensive alternative to traditional stocks and bonds in an attempt to reduce portfolio volatility.

Investment Strategy

• Identify core, liquid markets and asset classes
• Evaluate asset class correlation and volatility
• Individual growth and income asset classes are weighted equally in attempt to avoid opinion, market and asset class risk
• Individual positions are weighted based on volatility
• Apply long or short positions based on price trend in an attempt to force low correlation among multiple asset classes
• Rebalance asset classes based on upside and downside performance forcing a buy-low sell-high strategy
